How to Define LDAP Users on TR7 ASP?
To integrate users to be added on the TR7 ASP device with LDAP, the LDAP connection configurations must be set up through the "LDAP Settings" screen.

By following the steps "Settings > User Management > LDAP Settings", the screen for configuring and viewing LDAP integration details opens. Click the "Edit" button and enter the organization's LDAP information.
If it is desired to automatically retrieve LDAP user information such as email and phone number for later use in notification profiles:
First, a query user and password must be defined to fetch the necessary information from the LDAP server.
Specify where the query will be executed and which information will be requested in the relevant fields.
Click the "Save" button to save the changes. Then, test the LDAP configuration by clicking the "Check LDAP Connection / Sync" button.
After entering the necessary details for the LDAP configuration, LDAP users can be defined on TR7 ASP in two different ways.
Methods for Defining LDAP Users
Method 1 > Manual Definition
Follow the steps "Settings > User Management > Device Users". Click the "Add" button to define a new LDAP user. In the opened screen, set "Authorization Source" to "LDAP", select the user's authorization level in the "User Type" field, and enter the username as defined in LDAP. Click the "Add" button to define the LDAP user on TR7 ASP.
Method 2 > Automatic Definition
Follow the steps "Settings > User Management > Device Users > User Management Settings" and enable the "Automatic User Creation" button. Select "LDAP" for "User Creation Source" and set the "Default User Type To Create". This allows LDAP users to be automatically added to the Device Users list with the selected Default User Type, starting from their first login, without the need to manually define a new user on TR7.
