Express Profiles

About

In Express mode, TR7 GTM retrieves the relevant records from the DNS server specified as the master and manages them through that DNS server. Any modifications, additions, or deletions of DNS records are performed on the master DNS server, and TR7 GTM applies these changes instantly to itself.

How to Add?

To add a new Express Profile, follow the steps Global Traffic Manager (GTM) > Settings > Express Profiles > Add in the TR7 ASP web interface. In the opened screen, information about the master DNS server from which records will be retrieved using domain-based Zone Transfer for the previously created DNS service on TR7 should be entered. For this process to work, the relevant master DNS server (e.g., DC, PowerDNS, Bind) must allow the TR7 DNS service address to perform Zone Transfer.

- IDENTIFIER PATTERN

Specify which directory the records will be retrieved from or which directory they will not be retrieved from on the master DNS server for the added Express profile.

For example, if records used in both the Main and DRC directories exist on the master DNS server, the IDENTIFIER PATTERN can be used to distinguish the DRC records on TR7. A new directory can be created on the DNS server to add DRC records, and the new directory name is entered as the IDENTIFIER PATTERN on TR7.
