DNS Forwarder Profiles
About
DNS Forwarder is the process of forwarding client DNS query requests to another DNS server. DNS Forwarding is typically used when local DNS servers in a network do not have access to the external world, or when the requested record cannot be found. This configuration optimizes traffic and centralizes management by directing DNS requests to a specific DNS server.
TR7 ASP® provides easy usage for DNS query forwarding without requiring any scripting language. The main goal of configuring a DNS Forwarder is to manage traffic and utilize network resources more efficiently. Clients can query local DNS servers, but queries to the outside world can be forwarded through a TR7 ASP® device to the designated DNS server, or they can be forwarded specifically to a DNS server for a specific record.
In summary, for a DNS query without a record, TR7 ASP® can forward the query to another DNS server, ensuring uninterrupted service for clients.
