Device DNS
About
The DNS screen is used to input the IP address of the DNS server that the TR7 ASP device will connect to. Multiple DNS servers can be added. Additionally, virtual host groups can also be defined on this screen.
Helpful Information
For TR7 ASP devices operating in a cluster, it's not necessary to perform DNS settings separately. Changes made in the interface of the TR7 ASP device selected as the 1st device are automatically passed to the 2nd TR7 ASP device.

DNS Screen
By following the steps "Network > Device DNS" you can view the DNS information for the TR7 ASP device.
- 1 (Route Table)
Selects which Route Table the DNS settings will be applied to. For detailed information about Route Tables click here.
- 2 (Edit)
Clicking the Edit
button allows for configuring DNS and Virtual Host settings for the selected Route Table.

DNS Edit Form
By following the steps "Network > Device DNS > Edit" you can edit the DNS settings on the TR7 ASP device.
- DNS Servers
The IP address of the DNS servers to be used by the TR7 ASP device is entered. By clicking the +
icon, multiple DNS can be entered.
- Virtual Hosts
Configuring a Virtual Host modifies the "/etc/resolv.conf" file. By clicking the +
icon, multiple Virtual Hosts can be entered.

In the opened tab, run the ping command to see that the entered DNS address cannot be resolved.
