- IP Type

Interface IP addresses are added to the 1st and 2nd TR7 ASP devices and used as the Frontend IP in the vServices. Apart from this, Interface IP addresses are used for communication of VIP addresses.

By adding a VIP address, it is selected which TR7 ASP device will be the Master of the added IP address. When the TR7 ASP device selected as the master is disabled, the same IP address is transferred to the Slave and the 2nd TR7 ASP device is activated. Thus, service continues without interruption.

Warning

In order for VIP addresses to be active, VIP communication addresses must be selected as explained in the Edit Interface step.

- IP

Enter the IP addresses to be added to the relevant interface. Multiple IP addresses can be added to the same interface at once by clicking the + button on the far right of the IP tab. The TR7 ASP device supports both IPv4 and IPv6. After entering the IP addresses, TR7 automatically identifies the version of the entered IP address.

If an invalid IP address is entered, TR7 recognizes that the IP address is invalid and does not display any information about the version on the interface.

- IP Status

If IP Status is selected as enabled, the entered IP address is added to the TR7 ASP device in an accessible way.

If IP Status is selected as disabled, the entered IP address will be added to the TR7 ASP device in an inaccessible (disabled) way.
The disabled IP addresses added to the system appear as shown below.

The Disabled option is generally used when transferring the configuration from a different device to the TR7 ASP device. The IP address on the different device is added to the TR7 ASP as disabled to prevent conflicts in IP addresses. Later, when the IP address is deleted on a different device, it can be activated and used on TR7.
