Bandwidth Limitation
About
The Bandwidth Limitation action is used to limit the download and upload traffic in incoming requests to the vServices. The limiting process can be done dynamically or individually.
How to Add?
To add the Bandwidth Limitation action from TR7 ASP web interface, "Traffic Manager > Traffic Manipulation > Actions > Add" steps are followed. At the current page Bandwidth Limitation is selected as an Action Type and the following form is shown.

Bandwidth Limitation Form
- Action Name
Name for the action is entered.
- Action Type
"Bandwidth Limitation" is selected.
- Download Limit
Enter the download limit. You can select Kbps, Mbps or Gbps from the adjacent drop-down box.
- Upload Limit
Enter the upload limit. You can select Kbps, Mbps or Gbps from the adjacent drop-down box.
- Limit Type
Limiting can be done Dynamic or Stream.
When Dynamic is selected, requests with the same key combination are evaluated within the specified limit.
Multiple keys can be selected to create different groups.
When Stream is selected, each individual connection is evaluated within the given limit.
- Conditions
Condition(s) that will trigger the action is/are selected. For detailed information about conditions, click here.
- Form Buttons
Add button can be clicked to add the configured action.
Add & Repeat button can be clicked to add the configured action. New similar actions can also be added without losing the current configuration by clicking this button. The following alert is shown when the button is clicked.
