Conditional Silent Log

About

The Conditional Silent Log action is generally used when it is desired to stop log flow either instantly upon request or in response to certain conditions after a request is made to the vServices.

How to Add?

To add a Conditional Silent Log action from TR7 ASP web interface, "Traffic Manager > Traffic Manipulation > Actions > Add" steps are followed. At the current page Conditional Silent Log is selected as a Action Type and the following form is shown.

- Action Name


Name for the action is entered.

- Action Type


Conditional Silent Log is selected.

- Execution level

Action is triggered when the request arrives to the vService.

Action is triggered when the response from the Backend Service arrives to the vService.

- Conditions


Condition(s) that will trigger the action is/are selected. For detailed information about conditions, click here.

- Form Buttons

Add button can be clicked to add the configured action.

Add & Repeat button can be clicked to add the configured action. New similar actions can also be added without losing the current configuration by clicking this button. The following alert is shown when the button is clicked.

With the Source IP Address condition added in the example, the logs of IP addresses coming to vService from the source IP address 10.10.10.0/24 block are stopped and not sent to the log servers.
