IP Log Masking

About

The IP Log Masking action is typically used to mask IP addresses in logs when making a request to the vService, specifically during the moment when logs are sent to the log server.

How to Add?

To add the IP Log Masking action from TR7 ASP web interface, "Traffic Manager > Traffic Manipulation > Actions > Add" steps are followed. At the current page IP Log Masking is selected as an Action Type and the following form is shown.

- Action Name


Name for the action is entered.

- Action Type


"IP Log Masking" is selected.

- Masking(subnet)


When logging the IP of the requesting client, masking is done based on the subnet specified. By default, a "24" subnet mask is provided, but you can specify the desired subnet mask as needed.

- Form Buttons

Add button can be clicked to add the configured action.

Add & Repeat button can be clicked to add the configured action. New similar actions can also be added without losing the current configuration by clicking this button. The following alert is shown when the button is clicked.
