The Provide Prometheus Service action is typically used in situations where, immediately after a request is made to the vServices, there is a need to use Prometheus and Grafana with the vServices. How to Add?
To add the Provide Prometheus Service action from TR7 ASP web interface, "Traffic Manager > Traffic Manipulation > Actions > Add" steps are followed. At the current page Provide Prometheus Service is selected as an Action Type and the following form is shown.

Provide Prometheus Service Form
- Action Name
Name for the action is entered.
- Action Type
Provide Prometheus Service is selected.
- Metrics Address
The path information for providing metrics defaults to “/metrics” It can be edited as desired.
- Appearance in the Browser When a Request is Made to the vService's IP:Port and /metrics path
- Conditions
Condition(s) that will trigger the action is/are selected. For detailed information about conditions, click here.
- Form Buttons
Add button can be clicked to add the configured action.
Add & Repeat button can be clicked to add the configured action. New similar actions can also be added without losing the current configuration by clicking this button. The following alert is shown when the button is clicked.
