Set HTTP Header

About

Set HTTP Header action is generally used to set an existing HTTP header's contents in the request that was made to the vService during request or response time.

How to Add?

To add a Set HTTP Header action from TR7 ASP web interface, "Traffic Manager > Traffic Manipulation > Actions > Add" steps are followed. At the current page Set HTTP Header is selected as an Action Type and the following form is shown.

- Action Name


Name for the action is entered.

- Action Type


Set HTTP Header is selected.

- Execution Level

Action is triggered when the request arrives at the vService.

Action is triggered when the response from the Backend Service arrives to the vService.

- Header to Edit


The name of the header to be edited during the Execution Level is entered.

- Header Content


The content of the header to be edited during the Execution Level is entered.

- Conditions


Condition(s) that will trigger the action is/are selected. For detailed information about conditions, click here.

- Form Buttons

Add button can be clicked to add the configured action.

Add & Repeat button can be clicked to add the configured action. New similar actions can also be added without losing the current configuration by clicking this button. The following alert is shown when the button is clicked.
