TCP Connection Management

About

The TCP Connection Management action is typically used in cases where, following a TCP request to the vServices, it is desired to reject, silent drop or wait for the content at the moment of the request or response. The TCP Connection Management action can only be used in TCP vServices.

How to Add?

To add the TCP Connection Management action from TR7 ASP web interface, "Traffic Manager > Traffic Manipulation > Actions > Add" steps are followed. At the current page TCP Connection Management is selected as an Action Type and the following form is shown.

- Action Name


Name for the action is entered.

- Action Type


TCP Connection Management is selected.

- Execution Level

Action is triggered when the request arrives to the vService.

Action is triggered when the response from the Backend Service arrivesto the vService.

- Action

Used to block the incoming TCP request to the vService.

It is used to block TCP requests coming to the vService without notice.

It is used to wait for the content in the TCP request coming to the vService.

- Conditions


Condition(s) that will trigger the action is/are selected. For detailed information about conditions, click here.

- Form Butons

Add button can be clicked to add the configured action.

Add & Repeat button can be clicked to add the configured action. New similar actions can also be added without losing the current configuration by clicking this button. The following alert is shown when the button is clicked.
