Advanced Traffic Inspection
About
The Advanced Traffic Inspection action is typically used in cases where, following a request to the vServices, there is a need to monitor the traffic based on the information selected from the Fields to Track tab and the inspection duration at the moment of the request. To view the information related to traffic inspection, follow the steps of Monitor Mode > Select Relevant vService > Logs > Select Given Name to the Action in the TR7 web interface and then click on the Get Logs
button.
Warning
To use Advanced Traffic Inspection action, Tracking Condition condition must be used within the same vService together. Otherwise only inspecting upcoming logs is possible and no action can be taken based on this logs. The use of action and condition together is determined by the Traffic Tag information in Advanced Traffic Inspection. The determined value is selected in the Tracking Condition condition.
How to Add?
To add the Advanced Traffic Inspection action from TR7 ASP web interface, "Traffic Manager > Traffic Manipulation > Actions > Add" steps are followed. At the current page Advanced Traffic Inspection is selected as an Action Type and the following form is shown.

Traffic Inspection Form
- Action Name
Name for the action is entered.
- Action Type
Advanced Traffic Inspection is selected.
- Execution Level
Action is triggered when the request arrives at the vService.
Action is triggered when the response from the Backend Service arrives to the vService.
- Fields to Track
The selection of the one or more information to be tracked is made. Multiple information selections can be made by clicking the (+)
symbol on the right side.
- Traffic Tag
Specifiy a tag for the action to use it with the Tracking Condition condition.
- Track Period
The value written to the tracking time is tracked in seconds.
The value written to the tracking time is tracked in minutes.
The value written to the tracking time is tracked in hours.
The value written to the tracking time is tracked in days.
- Max. Table Size
Choose the value for the table size of the tracking fields.
- Rule Protocol
Choose protocol to use with the action.
- Viewing Logs Related to Traffic Inspection in TR7 Web Interface
Follow the steps of Monitor Mode > Select Relevant vService > Logs in the TR7 web interface. Select Given Name to the Action and then click the Get Logs
button after a request is made to the vService.
After clicking the Get Logs
button, the log that appears is selected to view the information chosen in the action.
