About
Source IP Condition is a traffic manipulation tool to manipulate HTTP requests incoming to a Backend Server based on their Source IP.
How to Add?
To add a Source IP condition from TR7 ASP web interface, "Traffic Manager > Traffic Manipulation > Conditions > Add" steps are followed. At the current page Source IP is selected as a Criteria and the following form is shown.

- Condition Name (Optional)
Name for the condition is entered. If no name is given to the condition Condition Description will be visible in the TR7 ASP interface to represent the added condition.
- Criteria
Source IP is selected.
- Source IP Type
When Country is selected as the Source IP Type, condition is triggered when a request arrives to the Backend Service from the specified country. Contries within the TR7 database are listed below.
When City is selected as the Source IP Type, condition is triggered when a request arrives to the Backend Service from the specified city. Cities within the TR7 database are listed below.
When Manual is selected as the Source IP Type, condition is triggered when a request arrives to the Backend Service from the specified IP address or addresses. Multiple IP addresses can be written for this condition. If "#" character is added to the beginning of a line, that line is interpreted as a comment.
When IP Provider is selected as the Source IP Type, a check is performed according to the registered ASN number. ASN is a unique number that can be used globally to identify an autonomous system, assigned by IANA, allowing this system to exchange external routing information with other neighboring autonomous systems. The process of sending packets between systems is known as BGP routing. Autonomous systems share routing policies with routers and other systems. ASNs effectively allow for the correct identification of the right system, similar to postal addresses.
- Condition Description
Condition description is generated automatically depending on the configuration.
- Form Buttons
Add button can be clicked to add the configured condition.
Add & Repeat button can be clicked to add the configured condition. With this option, new conditions with different configurations can be added without leaving the current tab. Following alert is given when the button is clicked.
