settings disk-management
The settings disk-management command determines the thresholds that manage the cleaning up by itself of the old data when the disk of the device starts to fill up.
Command Summary
# Tab after the command

Fields
This resource is a single setting: no identifier is written, update is run directly and only the fields to be changed are given.
| Field | What it does | What is written after it |
|---|---|---|
--autoCleanPercentageThreshold | Determines at which occupancy percentage of the disk the cleaning will start | A percentage value (the default is 90) |
--autoCleanMonthThreshold | Determines how many months old the data to be cleaned is | A number of months (the default is 12) |
Examples
# clean when the disk is 85 percent full, remove what is older than six months
admin@TR7LBWAF01> settings disk-management update --autoCleanPercentageThreshold 85 --autoCleanMonthThreshold 6
admin@TR7LBWAF01> settings disk-management show
admin@TR7LBWAF01>
Things to Know
- The two thresholds work together. The cleaning starts when the occupancy percentage is exceeded and removes the data older than the stated month.
- Lowering the threshold means earlier cleaning. When the percentage value is made smaller, the cleaning runs more often.
- The deleted data does not come back. If long-term retention is needed, the reports and the backups should be sent out with
settings file-transport.
