sys-cmd ip show link
sys-cmd ip show link is the subcommand defined for listing the network interfaces independently of the IP addresses, with only the state, MTU and MAC information.
It does not work in this version
When the command is typed, it gives a Command not found: link error; and when sys-cmd ip show is typed and Tab is pressed, address, which is the only option, is completed by itself. The subcommand is defined, but the command line does not recognize it in this version.
# type ip show and press Tab: address, the only option, is completed
admin@TR7LBWAF01> sys-cmd ip show address
admin@TR7LBWAF01> sys-cmd ip show link
Command not found: link

Where Is the Same Information Obtained From?
| Information | Command | Where to look in the output |
|---|---|---|
| Is the interface administratively up? | sys-cmd ip show address | UP in the square brackets |
| Is there a physical link? | sys-cmd ip show address | LOWER_UP in the square brackets |
| The operational state | sys-cmd ip show address | state UP · state DOWN |
| The MTU and the MAC address | sys-cmd ip show address | mtu · link/ether |
| The packet, error and dropped packet counts | sys-cmd netstat -i | The received / transmitted error and dropped packet columns on the interface lines; the column names depend on the version of the tool |
# the interface state lines
admin@TR7LBWAF01> sys-cmd ip show address | grep mtu
# the interface counters
admin@TR7LBWAF01> sys-cmd netstat -i
admin@TR7LBWAF01>
The configuration of the interfaces is viewed and changed with the network interface command.
