Files & Context

The Files & Context group gathers the two commands that manage the environment of the other system commands: file manages the temporary files that these commands produce and the disk area on which these files are kept, and route-table determines the v-device and route table from within which the network tools will run.

Command Summary

TR7 WEB-CLI · file and route-table

The Typical Flow

  1. The context is selected. If the target is in an isolated route table, sys-cmd route-table set v-device <v-device> route-table <route-table> is run.

  2. The output is written to a file. The output of the diagnostic command is saved to the temporary area with | to-file <file-name>.

  3. The file is downloaded. The Link address in the sys-cmd file list output is opened in the browser.

  4. The area is cleaned. When the work finishes, the file is deleted with sys-cmd file delete <file-name>.

Things to Know

  • Neither of them is affected by the context. The file commands always run in the temporary file area of the device; route-table changes the context itself.
  • There is no confirmation. file delete and file clean delete without asking for confirmation; it cannot be undone. The only file command that asks for confirmation is file disk change-size.
